Join award-winning actress and historian Leslie Goddard at Skyline on Tuesday, August 18 as she portrays “America’s Favorite Redhead” — bringing to life the brilliant, demanding and complicated woman behind the laughter. At its peak in the 1950s, more than half of the TV sets in America were tuned to I Love Lucy Monday nights on CBS. Whether she was in Italy stomping wine grapes in her bare feet or hawking (and consuming) the boozy Vitameatavegamin health tonic, Lucille Ball was one of the country’s most beloved entertainers. But she was much, much more.

Leslie Goddard has been presenting history programs for more than 20 years. She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, specializing in American studies and U.S. history, as well as a master’s degree in theater.
