MEET OUR RESIDENT PANEL
Wendy and John
Seattle natives and UW graduates, Wendy and John spent nearly four decades in Bellevue before returning to Seattle in 2025 to call Skyline home. John built a 50-year career as a Registered Investment Advisor. Wendy worked in sales and marketing, focusing on client relationships and community engagement. They raised two sons and enjoy having grandchildren close by.
Lee
Lee and David made it official in 2013 and finding a community of welcome was top of the list. At Skyline, they felt included from the start. After move in, they found other kindred spirits and love spending time at the symphony, ballet, and opera. They love living in the city which offers so many cultural opportunities.
Dr. Ken & Ada
Married since 1973, Dr. Ken & Ada made the move in August 2025. Skyline’s welcoming community and continuum of care really appealed to them. While still getting acclimated, they have been impressed with the array of activities – fitness, lectures, live music, films, and top notch dining!
Louis
A retired hospice nurse, Louis was born in East Harlem and moved to LA in 1974, where he met his husband Kenneth. They spent their time with pets, gardening, and traveling all over the world – meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. Dancing was their passion, which they did every weekend until Kenneth transitioned 1/27/2018. Louis moved to Skyline 5 months ago and immediately found the community’s warmth, connection, and energy to be exactly what he hoped for at this stage of life.
Kendall
Born and raised in Iowa, Kendall graduated from the University of Iowa and Union Theological Seminary before serving as an Associate Minister in Kirkland and Bellevue. He and his wife, Sonia, married in 1976 and moved to Skyline in 2009, drawn by its downtown location and continuum of care offerings.
